Is finally in stock! In sizes small, medium and large….!
It’s taken some time and I know many of you have been waiting very patiently. It’s still only a small run, made in Sydney, of pure linen; and YES they are longer than my prototype; and I hope one will fit you too! I think it will be too difficult to take these to the Collectors’ Plant Fair, but they are available in the Barn, so do let me know if you’d like to call in to try one on. (I’ll also try to make sure I have at least one of each size here on ‘event’ days, so that you can order from the next batch if I should happen to be low on stock).
As soon as I have time, I’ll make a page on the website so that you can read more about ‘the dress’. I might even try to find a model rather than yours truly, (see original post!). But as a teaser….the design came about due to the crazy life I seem to lead….one minute filthy in the garden, the next welcoming someone to lunch or zipping to a meeting (or the shop, post office) or sitting at my desk (where I seem to spend ludicrous amounts of time). Having my dress to throw on without the need to think, confident it will look good, be comfortable and take me pretty much anywhere in a hurry is, well….practical!
Almost everyone who has bought one has returned for a second! I find it hard to resist one from each batch that arrives!
ps, I see it’s almost 2 years to the day since I first ‘posted’ about the dress (my how time flies and how long it takes to get a project off the ground….or maybe I’m just a bit slow!). On the plus side, I feel just as excited now about the dress as I did then. It’s certainly not a fashion statement, but its become a way of life….(and when I get super organised….I’ll try & figure out how to sell them ‘online’). Watch this space!
