I am delighted to invite you to this year's WINTER CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT at GLENMORE, on SUNDAY 28 JUNE.
Last year's inaugural concerts here were met with such enthusiasm from a lively audience of devotees that it has inspired yet more fine musicians to take part. Suffice to say that this winter concert will be presented by musicians who have performed with many orchestras and ensembles, including the ACO, Sydney Symphony, Ensemble Offspring, Synergy Percussion and CODA; and I have a feeling the sound they produce together will bring a flush to our otherwise chilled winter cheeks, a tingle to our toes and have the roof near lifting off the Dairy! I can't wait!
In keeping with previous concerts, I'm not going to tell you any more. Given that once again, we're working in collaboration with LETA KEENS and THE SILO COLLECTIVE (a terrific bunch of people who commission work by Australian composers), if Leta says this is exciting, it's exciting, and you need to come along to discover and enjoy the surprise!
I am delighted that our hearty winter lunch to follow the concert will again be produced by ANNA SIMAMORA of THE FLOURY BAKER. As last time, we will eat lunch in THE HAYSHED (so you'll need to rug up well). Last year some sensible folk brought lovely warm woolly blankets to wrap themselves in, and a jolly time was had by all. Anna has a scrumptious menu planned, making the most of local, seasonal produce, with Roast Pumpkin Soup, Slow Braised Beef Cheeks and Apple Pie, which (even without mentioning their wilted or spiced companions) sound tantalising, deliciously wintry and warming.
All in all, it will be an invigorating day, full of wonderful music, food, happy chatter & a crackling fire to brighten a winter Sunday.

Our musicians, Leta, Anna and I will very much look forward to seeing you here.
Best wishes as always,
