As the days shorten and the chill sets in, I think perhaps it's time to suggest a SEASONAL COOKING DAY. While soup is now high on my list for lunch, cake is something to look forward to in the afternoon....(well, not every afternoon!). Cakes and soups with which to spoil ourselves, family and friends, on FRIDAY 30 MAY.
I will be delighted to run a day when we bake some of my favourite cakes (the ones you enjoy so much at our events), as well as to stir a hearty winter soup or two. We'll cook in front of the open fire in the Dairy, pick from the garden, eat well and generally have a bit of fun! On cake days, participants are sure to leave with slices of delicious warm cake wrapped in paper and tied up with string, as well as a wad of recipes (no doubt dusted with flour & splattered with egg).
It's always hard to choose a date and I hope this one will suit those of you who keep asking me when the next cooking day is to be. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me, or for further details of the day and to make a booking, please click here.
I'll very much hope to see you then!
Very best wishes
ps There are still places available for our much anticipated Winter Concert on Sunday 15 June. For all the details, please click here. Perhaps you might suggest a friend join you for this rather special celebration of winter...
