I am thrilled to welcome HARRIET GOODALL back to Glenmore for a series of WEAVING WORKSHOPS during 2014.
The first will be for beginners - no previous weaving experience required, on FRIDAY 28 MARCH.
Harriet is a much sought-after sculptural basket maker, creating objects of great beauty from harvested natural materials (feathers, pods, cocoons, bones, nests, quills), as well as salvaged industrial detritus (rusted corrugated iron, machinery, wire). Her work touches the earth lightly and is quite breathtaking. (See more of Harriet's delightful pieces and work that inspires her, at her website).
Harriet is also a compelling teacher. She guides and inspires while sharing her great love of nature, as well as her skill. While most participants arrive at workshops with no previous experience (excited, and not a little daunted)....Harriet coaxes a marvellous creation from each and every one of them.
We also propose to run a further two workshops during the course of 2014: a MASTERCLASS for those who have taken a previous workshop with Harriet (so that she can take your skills to the next level). And a LIVING WILLOW WORKSHOP, where she and husband Mat, will show you how to make a fantastical creation for your garden! Dates for these last two are yet to be finalised, but do please register your interest with me if you'd like to attend. We plan for them to take place in early spring.
Harriet and I very much hope you can join us for one of these inspiring workshops at Glenmore. For further information and to make a booking for 28 MARCH, please click here. Or if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me.
