I am delighted to invite you to our SPRING CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT at GLENMORE, on SUNDAY 9 NOVEMBER.
Following the rapturous applause received for our Winter Concert in June, we promised a repeat performance to our audience that chilly winter's day. It's taken a little while to pull together, but we very much hope you will make a spontaneous decision to join us once again, when we welcome members of the AUSTRALIAN OPERA & BALLET ORCHESTRA and SYDNEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA to take us on an enchanting musical flight of spring.
Where last time I spoke of crackling fires, this time it will be all about throwing open the windows and doors, so that rousing notes that hold us spellbound float across the garden to the paddocks beyond.
After the concert, a delicious garden-inspired SEASONAL LUNCH will be presented by ANNA SIMAMORA of THE FLOURY BAKER. As last time, we will encourage you to carry your chair (or bench - first in/soft seats!) from the DAIRY to the HAYSHED, where together we will enjoy a relaxed SUNDAY LUNCH in the scent-laden easterly breeze (all being well....but you know by now that I always have plan B up my sleeve!).
Once again, we are working in collaboration with LETA KEENS and the SILO COLLECTIVE (a terrific bunch of people who commission work by Australian composers) to bring together this magical spring day for you to enjoy.
For all details and to make a booking, please click here, and if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me. The garden will be full of summer promise by then as we anticipate the languid days ahead, and the Kitchen Garden will be showing off fresh tips of newly planted summer crops.
Our musicians, Leta, Anna and I will very much look forward to seeing you here.
Best wishes as always,
