Last year, on the spur of the moment, I floated the idea for a day of BAKING CAKES. It proved to be an instant hit and so much fun, that I've added two such days to this year's calendar of events. The first is on FRIDAY 15 MARCH, just in time for you to increase your cake repertoire for the chilly season ahead. There is nothing better at the end of a big gardening day (I think!), than putting your feet up for just a moment to enjoy a cup of tea and a chunk of cake: naughty but....well deserved??!! (it's a good excuse anyway...).
So I hope you may be tempted to join me for a day of butter, eggs & flour; of oranges & rhubarb, apples & lemons. My cakes are easy to make and you will be able to spoil your family and friends with these new-found delights! The idea for the day sprang from so many of you requesting recipes after a visit to Glenmore - so now is your chance to bake them here with me. Last year's participants found it difficult not to eat the 'still warm' results in their cars on the way home! And of course, we'll harvest and make ourselves a lovely lunch from the garden as well.

Also, we can squeeze in some late bookings for KITCHEN GARDENING this FRIDAY 22 MARCH if you are still undecided....(though I would very much like to know today please!). The garden looks like heaven....and is at an ideal stage from which to learn.
