I hope you're enjoying these glorious clear, blue, hot (if you happen to be working outside!) sunny days that slip into rather chilly evenings. They are, of course, about to put paid to images like the one above - where scented ginger accompanies tomatoes, zucchini, aubergine & herbs to the kitchen on a daily basis. But there will be other delights to take their place....and we have some enticing events on our calendar for next month, when we very much hope to see you here....
The first is WINTER KITCHEN GARDENING on FRIDAY 3 MAY when, amongst other exciting topics, there will be much discussion about artichokes (both Jerusalem & globe), as well as rhubarb, asparagus, citrus and fruit trees; AND it's the day we run our big COMPOST AFTERNOON - absolutely all you need to know to make the best, chocolate coloured muck from your garden waste. This is an information-packed day and always a popular one. For further information and to make a booking, please click here.
Next is SEASONAL COOKING on FRIDAY 10 MAY, where I'll be cooking, (with a very small number of you), scrumptious autumn produce & soups you will be able to add to your repertoire. Cooking days involve time in the garden, inspecting and collecting, and we make a delicious lunch to enjoy on the day as well. Grab a friend and enjoy a tantalising day of fun - for further details and to make a booking, please click here.
Last, and by no means least, I am so delighted that HARRIET GOODALL will be returning once again for a WEAVING WORKSHOP on FRIDAY 24 MAY. There are just a few spaces left for this extremely popular day, where you have the opportunity to learn from this inspiring artist and weave your own magical basket. Once again, for full details and to make a booking, please click here.
I very much hope one of these events will see you at Glenmore next month. By then, I expect I'll be needing to set a fire in the Dairy to add to the atmosphere and keep us warm. What fun! If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me. To see all the latest news, please have a look at the blog. I've recently opted to remove the 'comments' box, in case you're wondering - we had too many nutters making idiotic & unrelated comments. By all means contact me with any relevant comments!
Very best wishes
