Now the last days of summer have flown, I thought it timely to invite you to the most splendiferous of autumn treats.....a day with the absolutely captivating INDIA FLINT on THURSDAY 5 APRIL. It's a couple of years since she last dropped by 'on a wandering breeze' as she would most likely say, and who knows when the occasion may arise again?
India's reputation for eco-dyeing is highly regarded around the world, and I can vouch for the fact that a day spent in her company, collecting leaves and twigs and tying bundles of delicate fabric to pop into her 'cauldron', learning her alchemistic secrets along the way, is quite simply one-of-a-kind. She's a marvel and you will be spellbound by her stories as much as the techniques she employs to extract and transfer colour from nature to cloth, and I've no doubt the the work you create on the day will be something you will treasure forever and a day.
While your bundles bubble away, you will lunch at the long table in the loggia....I'll be moving onto the next chapter of seasonal produce by then (indeed I was out picking apples earlier this week; the quinces are coming along well, the persimmons and pomegranates too) so I'll look forward to seeing what that particular week brings.
India and I will very much hope to see you here. If you have any questions, as always, please don't hesitate to contact me, and to discover all the details about the day and to make a booking, please click here.
With very best wishes,
