Spring kitchen gardening.....

Hello everyone

What a hectic and stimulating time it is in the kitchen garden at this change of season! Things are maturing, expiring and popping up anew all over the place! There's seed to sow, seedlings to plant, compost to shovel and structures to build.  In general, it's just such an exhilarating time to be out there....in the garden.  And oh the rain!  Not drought-breaking (here anyway) but just glorious (though I know there are plenty who have still missed out which is tragic and we can only hope it's their turn very soon).

But back to the garden: there's also a lot that can be learned from it right now, and I'd be delighted to share it with you on SATURDAY 3 NOVEMBER, at the next inTHE KITCHEN GARDEN WITH MICKEY WORKSHOP.  A full morning will be devoted to absorbing all the garden has to tell;  followed by a long table, garden-inspired lunch.  The day will begin with morning tea at 10am and end at around 3.00pm.  All the details and booking form are here.

What a bit of fun I had last weekend when I posted this image (above) on instagram! In a spontaneous moment of excitement I thought I'd give away two places to this workshop, if someone could tell me what task I'd just completed - the answers are in the image, the clues in Episode One of the Podcast!  Aside from one friend suggesting I'd gone mad and made myself a giant nest (which did make me laugh!) it secured a winner....all the way from Western Australia! And I'll be thrilled to welcome her and a friend to Glenmore.

So although yes, I'll be releasing Episode Two of the Podcast shortly, nothing beats being in the garden here and I very much hope you'll join me for a whole lot of inspiration at this mid-spring inTHE KITCHEN GARDEN WORKSHOP.  Details here.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Very best wishes

Mickey

ps There are just three spots left at our tantalising ABSTRACT PAINTING WORKSHOP with MATILDA DUMAS on 9 NOVEMBER. The colours and shapes to inspire in the garden are building up to something quite joyous, so it will be an intoxicating kind of day on so many levels....a treat indeed. All the details are here. And....there will be one more surprise workshop in November, the details of which I'll release next week. A hint? 'Have whisk will travel'!  If those four words ring a bell and you can't contain your excitement, pencil in Saturday 24 November and watch this space!
